College Sports Maker

As part of Active Colleges, Sport England has invested up to £17 million over five years to create 150 full time sports development professionals – College Sport Makers. Here at Winstanley College we have our own College Sport Maker, Ben Rutherford.  Ben has been working to widen the offer for students; raising student participation in sport and reducing the drop out of young people from sport, especially at 16 and 18 years old.

Activities are open for all students to come down and try, irrelevant of ability levels. The activities cater for people that have never tried the activities before and for people that are competent so come along and give them a go. Sessions are designed for students to be able to enjoy their free time in college and try something new.  Turn up and have fun with your friends, or make new ones there!

FUN.  FRIENDS. FITNESS.
