Winstanley College has a long and proud tradition of having many students take part in exotic expeditions with World Challenge. World Challenge is a skills based experimental learning programme allowing challengers to travel to far flung places of the globe.
As part of these expeditions challengers do project work through construction and teaching, spending time trekking through mountains, deserts or jungle as well as having some time for rest and relaxation.
Staff and students have completed trips to a variety of places including Venezuela, Ecuador, Uganda, Madagascar, Peru, Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro and Nepal. This year in 2017 students took part in the most ambitious expedition yet, visiting Thailand, Laos, China and Vietnam in the space of 4 weeks. All students who enrol with us have the opportunity to join World Challenge when they first start at college!
Below is just a few pictures of this year’s expedition to South East Asia!
